Civilian shot dead by Unknown gunmen in Tral

Terrorists opened fire in tral area of Pulwama today , resulting in the death of a civilian. It is the second attck on civilian in the Area in one month.

Reports suggest that Terrorists opened fire on Rafiq Ahmed Bhat (37), alias Dada, at Main Chowk Tral, injuring him critically.

He was rushed to Sub-district hospital Tral where from he was referred to SMHS hospital in Srinagar for specialized treatment. However, he succumbed on way to the hospital.

Rafiq Ahmed Bhat was reportedly hit by a bullet in his neck.

Last month terrorists hurled a grenade near a bus stand in Tral town of Pulwama district. The injured persons include eight paramilitary troops, four policemen, and some civilians.

Attacks in Pulwama have become common. In August, eight security personnel, including four CRPF men, were killed when terrorists conducted a suicide attack on a police complex in south Pulwama.

The attack led to a massive gunfight wherein three terrorists were killed. The terrorists were believed to be foreign mercenaries.
