BJP Spokesperson Prof Virendra Gupta has blamed Article 370 for creating a separate psyche among the people in J&K and has said that it’s time to say Goodbye to Article 370 and Article 35A.
Both these articles, instead of being beneficial to the people of the state, have done great damage and hampered progress and development, said J&K BJP spokesperson Prof Virender Gupta.
“The time has come when the people of Jammu and Kashmir should say goodbye to Article 370 and ask the Government of India to revoke Article 35 A,” he said.
The prevailing situation in the Valley shows that Article 370 has created a “separatist psyche” and acts as a breeding ground for “separatist emotion”, Gupta said.
National Conference and Ruling People’s Democratic Party has shown it’s reservations against removing Article 370 and has warned the Center Government not to push the limits. NC patron and Rajya Sabha MP ‘Farooq Abdullah’ has warned of a protest that India has never witnessed so far, if they dared to tamper Article 370. On the other hand Mehbooba Mufti the current Chief Minister of J&K has also threatened that no one in Kashmir will raise the Tri-Colour if India will remove Article 370.
“The Kashmiri leadership for its own vested political interests has always indulged in a competitive game to exploit the people in the name of Article 370,” Gupta alleged.
He also said that this article is responsible for widening the gap between other parts of state I.e, Jammu and Laddakh. He also said that many Industrialists don’t want to open venture in the state because of this Article 370.
“Academicians and experts from the rest of the country are discouraged because of the Article to contribute in the educational growth of the state”, he claimed.
